NAZI PROPAGANDA.

UTILISING OLYMPIC GAMES. A RESPITE FOR THE JEWS.' (United Press Association— Copyright.) (Received This Day, 10.35 a.m.) LONDON, January 6. The Berlin correspondent- of the "Morning Post," says that the Nazis are expected to do as little as possible to offend world opinion until after the Olympic Games in August, for which they expect 50,000 visitors. Many officials are finding it difficult to keep up the pretence that the games have nothing to do with politics. The business manager of the Reich Committee of Tourist Traffic declares: "Our goal goes far beyond filling the Olympic arena with spectators for the purpose of the games, our propaganda is to show as many foreigners as possible that Nazi Germany will allow them to see with their own eyes the Nazi organisation." The Government's intention to use the games for the purpose of propaganda may lead to suspension of Hcrr Steicher's unsavoury campaign against the Jews. The Ministry of Propaganda and Foreign Office officials held numerous conferences how best to persuade the primitive but powerful Herr Steicher, who enjoys Herr Hitler's confidence, to desist.
