THE AEROPLANE ABANDONED.
DIVERS REMOVE MOST OF MAID
(United Press Association—Copyright.) CAIRO, January 4. Another body has been recovered from the sunken air-liner City of Khartoum. The bodies were buried today. Heavy seas are preventing a search for the bodies of other victims. It has been decided to abandon the 'plane, from which divers have removed the engines and most of the mails.
AIR MAIL FOR AUSTRALIA.
MELBOURNE, January 5
The Postmaster-General has been advised that the City of Khartoum carried a portion of the New Year's mail for Australia, comprising one bag for each of the Australian capitals. No mention was made of any mail for New Zealand being lost.
