MR M. MACDONALJD AT ROSS.

Mr Malcolm MacDonald has been adopted by the Ross-Cromarty Liberal Association as the National candidate for the coming by-election. It was previously reported that the Ross-Cromarty Conservative Committee had declined Mr Malcolm MacDonald's condidature, and has refused to invite him to address a meeting.
NOT OPPOSING THE EX-PREMIER.
(Received This Day, 11.5 a.m.) LONDON, January 4. Professor Chartcris declined to stand as an Independent Conservative for the Scottish Universities parliamentary seat in opposition to' Mr J. Ramsay MacDonald.
