VOLUNTEER CREWS
SEVERAL OFFER IN SYDNEY. COLLAPSE OF STRIKE EXPECTED. THE AORANGI LEAVES SYDNEY. United Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 9 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Tho Aorangi, maimed by licensed volunteers, got away yesterday without demonstration, probably due to the fact that the wharf was. adequately guarded by uniformed and plainclothes police. It is understood that the crews have been obtained for the Gabriella and the Noakuta. The Hauraki was also able to sail yesterday. Volunteer crews are coming forward for other freighters, and shipowners anticipate an early collapse of the strike. They are receiving applications from numbers of former seamen, who fear permanent loss of their jobs.
