INTERNATIONAL SUNG.
ASSOCIATION MATCH IN PARIS. SOVIET TEAM DEFEATED. United Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.20 p.m.) PARIS, January 1. In spite of an outburst of criticism similar to that in the case of the Eng-lish-German football fixture in London, an Association football match between the Paris Racing Club and a Moscow team passed off in a friendly spirit. The police placed a cordon round the grounds and broke up groups who were attempting to demonstrate. There were 20,000 spectators, of whom it is estimated that at least 15,000 were Communists who sang the International when the Soviet team appeared on the field. The Racing Club won by 2 goals to 1.
