LOCATION OF THE WRECK.
PREVIOUS FEAT BY PILOT. EMERGENCY LANDING MADE. (Received This Day, 11.5 a.m.) LONDON, January 1. When the wreckage of the City of Khartoum was located, under water, after an all-night-search, there seemed little doubt that Captain Wilson was the sole survivor of nine passengers and four of a. crew. Imperial Airways state that as far as at prestne known all the mails for New Zealand, Australia and elsewhere are safe, as they were carried by a sister ’plane which arrived at Alexandria last night. Imperial Airways stats that Mr Garrett’s Australian address is not known. Captain Wilson is the pilot who was driven out of his course and made an emergency landing in Northern Territory of Australia- with English mails during a storm in the Timor Son last January.
