TWO ’PLANES AT NELSON. NELSON, December 26. The two de ITavilland Rapides of Cook Strait Airways, Ltd., made an interesting flight from Auckland to Nelson to-day, arriving at 4.30 p.m., after calling at New Plymouth, Wanganui, and Rongotai. They received an enthusiastic public reception at Nelson. That Nelson was being brought within an hour of Wellington, with two services daily, and that it was the headquarters of the company, were referred to as an important development in the history of the district. The chief speaker was Mr IT. C. Cock, chairman of directors of the company. The machines maintained communication with each other by radio telephone during the flight.
