CHRISTMAS BONUS.
REQUESTS FOR CONSIDERATION. (t'er Press Association). WELLINGTON, December 24. The Minister of Employment and Labour (the Hon. H. T. Armstrong) stated to-day that a large portion of his mail had been from persons unable to qualify for the Christmas bonus to unemployed and who desired their case to be considered as a special one. .The Minister stated he had been anxious to deal with as many as possible before the holiday, and a largo staff had been working till late at night assisting him to this end, but in many cases it would be impossible to reply till after the holiday, principally owing to the fact that it was necessary to obtain fuller information before decisions could be made. lie desired to assure correspondents that all who had written him either direct or through his colleagues would receive replies as soon as possible.
