NEW BUILDING AT TINWALD.

THE (PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH. The project of building a church hall at Tinwald for the Ashburton South charge of the Presbyterian Church will be proceeded with immediately after the New Year holidays. The building will be in brick, and will cost, when completed, £7OO. _ From an architectural point of view it will be in keeping with the function it is toi perform. The interior will he handsomely panelled, and special care lias been taken with regard to the acoustic properties. Lighting will he on an up-to-date flood scale, and will incorporate the best features of' modern diffused lighting. Kitchen and pantry arrangements will be adequate to serve a large congregation, and rooms have been provided, for Bible classes and other organisations. Nothing over-elaborate lias been attempted, and everything is designed for efficient service. The stage, which is -well-designed, will provide ample facilities for the convenience of artists, and altogether it is hoped that the building will prove worthy of the large parish covered by the Presbyterian Church in Flemington, Tinwald and Lagmhor, where the generosity of the people has made the scheme possible. In addition to meeting the needs of this wide area, the new building will be an acquisition to. Tinwald. It is'to be known as the Presbyterian Central Hall.
