STRAIT AIR SERVICE.
POSSIBLE START ON MONDAY. (Pei* Press Association.) WELLINGTON, December 23. : If arrangements now being made are completed, Cook Strait Airways, Ltd. s service connecting Airlington, Blenheim and Nelson, will probably open on Alonday. The first of the two De Havnland Dragon Eapide aeroplanes for the service are being assembled at Hobsonville. It was tested at the week-end by Air G. B. Bolt and Air A. Orchard, who were both enthusiastic about its performances. The second aeroplane will be tested within the next few days and if the tests are satisfactory both aeroplanes will go south on liiday, making calls at New Plymouth Manganui, Wellington and possibly Hamilton. ... . On Saturday both machines will probably be taken over the Wellmgton-Blenheim-Nelson route, so that the service can be started on Monday.
