FACTORY DESTROYED
FIRE AT TUATAPERE. INVERCARGILL, Nov. 11. One of the best equipped and most up-to-date box timber in Southland, situated a quarter of a mile from Tuatapere, was totally destroyed by fire early this evening. The plant belonged to Hamilton and Company, and was recently taken over by J. H. Williams. About 10,000 feet of timbei was stacked in the mill and this was destroyed, together with 15,000 feet in racks outside. The cause of the fire is unknown, but the blaze appeareu iso start near the boiler. The damage is estimated at £SOOO.
