NEW MEASURES PRAISED. DECISION WELCOMED IN BRITAIN. (United Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, November 5. The newspapers express satisfaction at the determination cf the Chinese Government to deal boldly with the existing currency disorder. “The Times” says;—“The new scheme will be welcomed generally because it promises to' put the finances of China., fe for the first time, on a solid basis. It is true that the scheme deals only with machinery, but it is drawn up in accordance with the most modern practices and most successful principles of banking organisation.” The “Daily Telegraph” says: “By instituting a central bank with powers to buy and sell exchange, and keep the value of its currency stable, China is now in line with other important countries.”—British Official Wireless.
