STATE EMPLOYEES
RESTORATION OF “CUTS” SOUGHT AN ASHBURTON RESOLUTION.
A combined meeting of State employees was held in Ashburton on Friday evening, when the matter of the restoration of “cuts” was considered. The following resolutions were carried:
“That this meeting of combined State employees hereby demands the full restoration of all ‘ cuts ’ since 1930.”
“Failing this, that the 71 per cent, rise be a. restoration instead of an increase, and that it be retrospective from April 1, 1935.”
