TENNIS.
DOMINION WOMEN’S TEAM. WELLINGTON, October 3. The team of New Zealand women tennis players to compete in the New South Wales championships is Misses D. Nicholls (Wellington),- N. Beverley (Waikato), D. Muller (North Otago), T. Poole (Canterbury), I. Poole (Canterbury), Ei. Rudkin (Canterbury). The players will leave by the Wanganella on October 24.
LYNDHURST CLUB’S OPENING. The official opening of the Lyndhurst Lawn Tennis Club was held in perfect weather. There was a good attendance of members and friends, and visitors from the Lauriston and Rokeby clubs. The president (Mr G. Lilley) extended a welcome to all present and wished the club every success. He declared the courts open for the season. Afternoon tea was served by the members.
