MOTOR-CYCLING.
THE ASHBURTON CLUB. The monthly meeting of the Ashburton Motor Cycle Club was held last evening, when there were present — Messrs J. R. Leask (chairman), G. T. Clarke, C. Bickford, S. Preddy, 11. Chambers, E. Smith, R. Anthony, A. Weir, T. W. Farley, and the secretary, W. J. Dailey. One new members was elected.
Mr Clarke,- who represented the Club at the S.I.M.U. annual meeting, gave a comprehensive report on the meeting.
It was decided to leave the gasworks corner at 9 a.in. on Sunday next for the run to Oust Domain with the Canterbury Auto Club.
The same arrangements were made for the run on Sunday, October 13 to Waihora Park with tlie Pioneer Sports Club.
Points for the Preddy and Speedwell Cups were allotted as follows: Preddy: R. Chambers 47, R, Anthony 41, R. Amos 29, P. Horrill 14, C. James 10, J. Lovett 8. Speedwell: E. Smith 38, R, Chambers 36, R. Anthony 32, R. Amos 29, P. Horrill 8, C. James 6, J. Lovett 5.
