PIGEON SHOOTING.

THE METHVEN GUN CLUB. The Methven Gun Club brought its season to a close on Saturday afternoon in perfect weather, when there was an attendance of 14 shooters, in addition to an interested gallery of spectators, including many ladies. The brilliant sunshine in the early afternoon made shooting conditions somewhat trying, hut improvement toward the end. was more noticeable by more consistent shooting. T. S. Harrison won the club championship with 16 breaks on. The annual ladies’ match of -nine clay birds found Allan Anderson with a full quota. The sixth and final shoot for the president’s trophy and the points for to count throughout the season showed T. S. Harrison with 62 on, and with his additional 11, and S. H. Anderson with the same total -of 73, necessitated a shoot-off. Harrison missed his second bird, leaving Anderson the winner.' For the aggregate trophy over the series of shoots in the season, T. S. Harrison was the winner with 185 points. L. O. Anderson was second with 182 points. At the close of the matches the president (Mr A. E. Wilson) presented the trophies to the winners, whom lie congratulated on their success. He also thanked members for the support accorded him during the season.
