VAN RYN AND ALLISON WIN
SAN FRANCISCO, September 24. In the final of the men’s doubles in the Pacific South-West tennis tournament at Los J. H. van Ryn and ,W. L. Allison beat J. D. Budge and C. G. Mako, 7-9, 6-1, 4-6, 6-2, 6-3. J. Brugnon and Miss N. M. Lyle beat R. Menzel and Miss Caroline Babcock, 9-7, 6-0, in the semi-final of the mixed doubles. Menzel lost interest in the second set and volleyed softly to Brugnon. . In the final Budge and Mrs van Ryn beat Brugnon and Miss Lyle, 6-4, 8-6.
In the final of the women’s doubles Mrs van Ryn and Miss Josephine Gruickshank beat Miss Babcock and Mrs Esther Bartosh (Los Angeles), 6-0, 2-6, 12-10.
