Consumption satisfactory, but affected by usual heavy supplies of home-killed lamb. Mutton market—Wethers steady, with prices unchanged. Ewes meeting fair trade, with light-weight ewes higher. Beef market—Prices easier owing to heavy supplies of Argentine, chilled beef and home-killed beef.

New Zealand porker pigs—Heavy supplies of home-killed have weakened our prices. New Zealand baconer pigs—Market steady and unchanged.

Lambs: The market is firmer for second quality. First grades remain steady. Wethers: The market is quiet and unchanged. Ewes: The demand is moderate. Beef: The market is dull, and there little business doing. Pork: The market is affected by heavy supplies of Home-killed pigs. Trade generally is slow owing to heavy supplies of fresh meat.
