A BARROW TRIP
BLUFF TO CHRISTCHRCH.
MESSRS' LUKEY AND SCHOFIELD.
TWENTY MILES A DAY PLANNED

Messrs Lukey and Schofield, who recently made a wheelbarrow trip between Auckland and Wellington, will leave for the South Island on Monday to do a trip from Bluff to Christchurch (400 miles), starting from the Bluff Post Office on Monday, September 23. Mr Lukey said he wanted to make the trip harder than the previous one. He aims to do 20 miles a day, instead of 16, getting to a town each night. The longest stretch will be from Oamaru to Waimate, 30 miles. A detour will he made from the main road to in-, elude Wyndham.
