RESTORATION SOUGHT
MILK ROUNDSMEN’S WAGES. (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, September 13. A strong plea for the restoration of the 10 per cent, cut to milk roundsmen was made by Mr J. P'urfcell, who led a deputation which waited on the Auckland Metropolitan Milk Council to-day. The deputation asked the council to consider two matters —the six - day week and the restoration of the 10 per cent. cut. The chairman of the council (Mr G. M . Hutchison) said he would he prepared to arrange a conference between representatives of the producers, the vendors, the council, and the roundsmen to see if something could not be done. He was personally in favour of restoring the cut.
