THE ASHBURTON CLUB.

MEDAL MATCHES PLAYED. The second round of the 36-hole medal match was played by members of the Ashburton Golf Club on Saturday and resulted in a tie between three players, each of whom returned a card of 143. Their scores were:—G. d’Auvergne 70 (first round), 83 (second round); J. W. Keig, 72 and 71; L. A. Charles, 76 and 67. The senior medal match was won by P. Harper, 79—16—63. The runnerup was H. N. Lewis, whose score was 75 —7—68. The junior medal match was won by L A. Charles with a score ol 88—21— 67. TIMARU V. ASHBURTON. The annual match was played between the Timaru and Ashburton Golf Clubs on the Ashburton golt course over the week-end, resulting m a win for Timaru by 22 games to 12.
