LURICH LEAVES RING.
KRUSKAMP DECLARED THE WINNER,
SYDNEY, September 8. At the Leichhardt Stadium, after a spectacular fifth round, in which he received exceptionally heavy punishment, Tom Lurich left the ring and refused to continue a contest with Handy Kruskamp, who was declared the winner. Kruskamp opened the fifth round by drop-kicking his opponent and then submitting him to a series of flying tackles interspersed with heavy punches. Each had previously secured a fall. , ANDRESEN BEATS LABRIOLA.
NEW PLYMOUTH, September 8. Ole Andresen defeated Labi'iola in a solid bout, by two straight falls. Andresen gained his first fall after a series of head-locks, and a second submission fall' from a barred toe-hold.
