AUSTRALIAN PROFESSIONALS. RICHARDSON BEATS BOORER. ADELAIDE, August 30. V. S. Richardson (New South Wales) beat 11. Boorer (Victoria) 2 up and 1 in the final of the professional golf championship of Australia at Seaton Park to-day. The play was uninspiring and patchy in the morning round, but exciting after luncheon. The players were all square at the twenty-eighth.

MRS SLOAN MORPETH IN FORM. MELBOURNE, August 30. Eliminating two British players, Miss Mona McLeod and Mrs S. Morpeth won their way to-day to the quarter-finals in the women’s. golf championship, beating Miss J. Anderson, leader of those who qualified, and Miss P. Wade, who Avas second. Miss McLeod played splendid golf, but Avon only on the eighteenth green. Superior putting enable Mrs Morpeth to defeat Miss Wade. Miss P. Burton won at the fourteenth from Miss J. Hood Hammond (New South Wales).
Scores Avere: — Mrs Alan Yuille (NeAV South Wales) heat Miss N. Marrie (Victoria) 1 up. Mrs McKay beat Miss K. Rymill (South Australia) at the nineteenth. Miss McLeod beat Miss Anderson 1 up. „ , Mrs Morpeth heat Miss Wade 2 up. Mrs J. B. Walker beat Miss B. Kernot (Victoria) 5 and 4. Mrs W. Greenlees beat Miss J. Gardiner (Queensland). 5 and 3. Miss P. Barton defeated Miss Hood Hammond 5 and 4. • Miss B. Nankivell (Victoria) beat Miss E. H. Fraser at the twenty-first. ROTORUA CHAMPIONSHIP ROTORUA, August 30. In the final of the Rotorua open golf championship to-day, H. B. Lusk (Auckland) beat R. D. Wright (Auckland) 3 and 2. In the final of the Thermal Cup event for the second 32 to qualify, G. Pott (Rotorua) beat A. Walden (Rotorua), 3 and 2.
