THE KING BREAKS DOWN.
“WE WERE SO HAPPY.”
PRAYING AT CATAFALQUE. (Received This Day, 9.45 a.m.) BRUSSELS, August, 30. The King long knelt, in solitude at the foot of the catafalque, praying and sobbing. It is understood that a sleeping draught was administered to his Majesty during the night on the journey to Brussels. He broke down, when members of the Cabinet boarded the train, crying “It is frightful. We were so happy.” The funeral service will take place at the' Church of St. Gudule on Tuesday, after which the interment will take place in the Royal crypt.
