THE ASHBURTON FESTIVAL.

FOURTH DAY SESSION RESULTS.

ANOTHER FULL PROGRAMME. There was much to interest patrons of the Ashburton Competitions Society’s festival to-day. Most of the competitors, of course, ’ were young, but there were three or four important adult classes, among them being the second section of the Tucker Trophy contest. The dialogue, under 16, set down for to-morrow night, will be heard tonight, and the one-act play scheduled for to-night will be produced to-mor-row night. The test piece for the Tucker Trophy has been selected by Mr R. Tucker and it will be announced from the stage when the award of the trophy is made. Results up to the time the “Guardian” went to press were as follow, competitors being resident in Ashburton unless otherwise stated:—
