HOCKEY.
THE NORDON CUP DEFENDED. HASTINGS, August 29. In a bright, interesting game, the Hastings hockey representatives successfully defended the Nordon Cup for the fourth occasion this season, defeating Bush this afternoon by 3 goals to 1. A high wind, almost of gale force, seriously affected play, but in spite of this handicap the general run of play was of a high standard, with both sides showing excellent combination and clever stick work.
