COUNTY MINIATURE CLUBS. CHAMPIONSHIPS ON SATURDAY. (By “Marker.”) l The annual Ashburton County miniar ture rifle championships, conducted by the Ashburton County Small Bore Rifle Association, to be held on Saturday, promises to be very successful, and it is anticipated that there will he at least 15 teams competing. The winning team will receive four miniature cups and a parcel of targets. Miniature cups will also be given to the individual winners of the president’s match and the County aggregate. The Challenge Cup also goes to the winner of the aggregate. Two matches have been fired for the County Shield recently, and in both matches the challengers have been successful. The first match was fired at Methven when the Mount Somers Club won by five points. The scores were. Mount Somers GIG, Methven 610. The half-way scores were: Mount Somers 307, Methven 303. The Methven Club has been having trouble with its rifles recently, and is unable to get them sighted accurately. In the second match the Ashburton Club fired at Mount Somers and won by seven points. The scores wore: Ashburton 616, Mount Somers-GOO. Tne half-way totals were: Ashburton 312, Mount Somers 301. The next match wii? be fired by the Lynnford Club, and will probably be shot on Saturday evening,
