The newspaper “Pravdla” draws attention to the apathy of local authorities toward the appalling living conditions of thousands of workers. It instances New Zaporozhie, where the census revealed' that 16,000 persons are living in 5000 small dugouts without water or light, within a few yards of the great Dneprostroi power-station.
