JUVENILE CRIME
AN INCREASE AT DUNEDIN. RECEIVING STOLEN GOODS. (Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, This Day. Cases in the Children’s Court have nearly doubled in the last three years. For the'first seven months of 1933, the figures were 103 cases. For the same period last year they were 142, and this year 273. Breaking, entering and theft constitute the great majority of the offences, and a surprising number of those before the Court have been charged with receiving stolen goods.
