NEW YORK, July 29
The legal attack against the Administration’s agricultural programme was intensified at Chicago to-day when 17 packers, including the largest in the nation, filed suit to test -the validity of the processing taxes on pork provided! by the Agricultural Adjustment Act. They say they have paid a total of more than 35,000,000 dollars in such taxes, and are seeking to prohibit the Government from collecting several million more which are now due.
