TO BE SENTENCED
FATAL NEGLIGENCE OF MOTORIST. (Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, July 25. Allegations that the accused had been travelling at an excessive speed and had acted callously in not stopping after the accident, were made by the Crown in the Supreme Court, when Patrick Thomas Syron was charged with negligent driving, thereby causing death. The charge arose through the death of Norman Alexander Anderson, aged 23, who was fatally injured by a motor-car on May 6. The jury, after hearing evidence, returned a verdict of guilty, and the accused was remanded for sentence.
