QUEEN OF TONGA
UNOFFICIALLY IN NEW ZEALAND (Special to the “Guardian.”) WELLINGTON, This Day. A constitutional monarch of 30,000 persons, Queen Salote Tuboe, of Tonga, arrived by the Monowai yesterday, and will remain three days before going to Sydney. Sire was given a tumultuous farewell at Nukualofa. Thousands of her subjects were on the wharf, singing, dancing and cheering, She will spend two months in Australia and will attend the centenary celebrations of the Methodist Church of Victoria at Melbourne. Her visit to New Zealand is unofficial. Queen Salote was •educated in Auckland.
