A Press Association message from Timaru states that advice has been received from Sydney that Sir George Julius, the eminent civil engineer of Sydney (a son of Archbishop Julius), has accepted a seat on the board of directors of the Whakatane Paper Mills, Ltd.
It is understood that Air W. S. Kerr (chairman of the Ashburton East School Committee) has accepted nomination as the Canterbury Education Board’s representative on the Ashburton Technical High School Board of Managers in place of Mr L. A. Charles, who will not seek re-election at the termination of his appointment next month.
