HOPKINS AND BLOMFIELD DRAW
AUCKLAND, July 22. Making his first appearance in Auckland, the English wrestler, George Hopkins, drew with L. Blonifield in a professional heavy-weight contest, the decision being given on points, after each wrestler had secured a fall. Hopkins took the first fall in the fourth round with a press, after weakening his opponent with a series of headlock throws. Blonifield drew even in the seventh round, feigning that he was dazed by his opponent’s throws, until he caught the latter napping, and dumped him, to complete with a bodypress.
LURICH AND DUALA DRAW.
SYDNEY, July 22. In a. wrestling match at the Stadium to-night Tom Lul'ich and the giant Indian, Tiger Duala, drew with one fall each.
