BRIGHT SUNSHINE TO-DAY. Conditions in Ashburton were bright and warm to-day, the sun shining on a clear sky. Four degrees of frost were registered at the Domain weather station this morning. The barometric pressure is 30.03 inches and extreme temperatures yesterday and last night were 46.1 and 35.3 degrees.
TO-DAY’S FORECAST. (Per Press Association,) WELLINGTON, This Day. The Government Meteoralagist, at noon to-day, issued the following statement regarding the weather: — General inference: An anti-cyclone is moving slowly off New Zealand. A depression is located west of the North Island. The forecast for the east coast of the South Island from Blenheim to Oamaru is as follows: Light to moderate easterly wind, veering to fresh south-easterly. Weather dull and misty, with rain. Seas moderate, but rising.
