SOUTH AFRICANS WIN CAMBRIDGE UNIVERSITY BEATEN (United Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 9.20 a.m.) LONDON, May 10. The South African cricketers defeated Cambridge University by an innings and 40 runs. Replying to Cambridge University's 253, the South Africans yesterday scored 485*. Wade, after scoring the first century of the South African tour, continued without giving a chance, though not brilliantly, until he was tempted to lift Cameron, and was easily caught. ■ He batted far 285 minutes, and hit 10 fours. Rowan, in an enterprising innings, had three chances. Nourse made 50 in 75 minutes, hitting harder than Wade and Rowan. The Cambridge bowling was steady and the fielding good. On a dusty pitch, to-day the South Africans speedily disposed of Cambridge. The fourth wicket looked like becoming a good stand, when Tindall was run out. Details are:—■ CAMBRIDGE UNIVERSITY.
