THE ASHBURTON TROTTING CLUB WINTER MEETING 'PROGRAMME. The committee of the Ashburton Trotting Club met this afternoon and drew up the following programme for its winter meeting, to be held on June 8: Longbeach Handicap (for trotters), of £100; 3.49 class; one mile and a half. Trial Handicap, of £100; 3.43 class; one mile and a half.
Ashburton Handicap, of £300; 3.25 class; one mile and a half. New Zealand Sapling [Stakes, of £1000; one mile and a. half. Acton Handicap, of £150; 3.29 class; one mile and a half.
Mayfield Handicap (for trotters), of £200; 3.28 class; one mile and a half. Tinwald Handicap, of £140; class 3.39; one mile and a half. Winter Handicap, of £175; 2.47 class; one mile and a quarter.
