TOURIST COMMITTEE.
THE FIRST MEETING. (Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, April 26. The first meeting of the Tourist Committee was held in Parliament Buildings to-day. The Minister in Charge of Tourists and Publicity (the Hon. Adam Hamilton) presided. Mi' H. IT. Sterling was appointed chairman and Mr N. S. Falla deputychairman.
Mr Sterling stated that during his visit abroad he proposed to make contact with as many tourist organisations as possible, with a view to increasing the tourist traffic to New Zealand.
