DEATH SENTENCE.
SHOOTING OF CONSTABLE. FATAL ROBBERY IN AUSTRALIA. (United Press Association—Copyright). SYDNEY, March 21. In the Criminal Court at Sydney. Janies Lucas, aged 46, was sentenced to death for maliciously wounding Constable Arthurson with intent to murder him at Bargo, near Goulburn, on January 0. Constable Arthurson, who has now almost recovered from his wounds, disturbed two men who were robbing a shop, and challenged them to put up their hands, upon which he was shot by Luca 3.
