THE BRITISH LEGION WORK. JOBS FOR EX-SERVICEMEN. (United Presß Association—Copyright) LONDON, March 20. The. Prince of Wales inaugurated at the Mansion House, a British Legion employment week, the object of which is to induce to take on more unemployed ex-servicemen. • Addressing a gathering of prominent persons, including the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Lord Mayor of London, the Minister of Labour and Admiral Jellicoe, the Prince said lie appreciated all that employers had done already to absorb ex-servicemen, but unfortunately there were stilhunany thousands who were out of work .He hoped that these men would be given their share of the economic revival. Last year the British Legion had filled 46,000 vacancies, and he hoped that, with the assistance of municipal and local authorities, there would be a big increase in this number in the present year as the King’s jubilee vear.—British Official Wireless.
