BRISBANE ABATTOIR WORKERS. FOUR-WEEK STRIKE ENDS. WEIGHT OF PUBLIC! OPINION. (United Press Association—Copyright), (Received This Day, 12.55 p.m.) BRISBANE, This Day. A mass meeting of the unionists who are concerned in the abattoirs strike, which has lasted four weeks, decided to accept the recommendations by the Strike Committee that they return to work immediately. This is the outcome of an order issued by the Industrial Court that the men return by March 21.
The president of the Meat Employees' Union said that no union could stand against a Government Qourt and public opinion.
