IRON DEPOSITS.
GRANT TO BRITISH INTEREST. (United' Press Association—Copyright.) PERTH, March 13. A Japanese delegation recently attempted to secure a long lease of the extensive iron ore deposits at Yampi (Sound, Western Australia, but the State Government rejected the overtures. It has now granted a six months' reservation to British interests, represented by Sir James Connolly, formerly Agent-General for ■Western Australia in London, who has 'given an assurance that tho deposits will be tested within that period. ,
