Despite shabby clothes and two days’ growth of beard, a French journalist recognised in a Luxembourg cafe M. Alexander Zoubkoff, who jumped into fame a few years ago by marrying Princess Victoria of Hohenzollern. He is now working as a luggage portei. M. Zoubkoff said; “I once spent £15,000 a year here and used to give £3 tips. Now I can hardly wait for Fridays, when theatrical companies move, to help with their luggage. I manage to get only one meal a day. 1 am unable to get a permit to live in France, Germany, Belgium or Italy. They all politely tell me to go somewhere else.”
