Reports from London that the Commonwealth Government will seek the appointment of the Duke of Kent as Governor-General are discounted in official circles. It is understood that the matter was discussed prior to the departure of Mr J. A. Lyons for London and the decision was that the time was not appropriate to seeir a member of the Royal Family as Governor-General.
