STATEMENT OF POLICY. NO COMPULSORY TRAINING YET. THE ULTIMATE OBJECTIVE. (United Press Association—Copyright). (Received This Day, 10.45 a.m.) CANBERRA, This Day. The Federal Government does not propose to rpintroduce compulsoij training for at least another two yeais. The Ministry indicated that the money available for the rehabilitation of defences in the next few years can better be used on permanent establishment than in attempting to rebuild! a partly - trained citizen force under the compulsory system. The ultimate restoiation of compulsory training, however, is one of the objectives of the defence policy.
