GOLF.
OLDEST PLAYER. Who is Wellington’s oldest golfer? Mr H. Phillips, of Bagnor Regis, is 90, and plays four times a week, being prevented only by really atrocious weather. During the summer, after golf, be plays bowls in the evening. Up to two years ago he regularly cycled from his house to the course a distance of two miles. He believes he is England’s oldest golfer, and it in his ambition to play a round on Ins 100th birthday.
