As proof that terrorism in Bengal is still most active, two youths armed with revolvers and daggers boarded a train as it was leaving Faridpur station, in Eastern Bengal, last night. They terrified the postal staff and decamped with .the postal bags. The value of the loot is not known. An ex-convict named Venkqpna ran amok with a knife and terrorised the village of Tadepalliguden in the West Godavori district of Madras. Eight persons were injured, four fatally. The first outrage occurred last Sunday, Venkanna stabbing three, including the village magistrate- O n Tuesday he reappeared, injuring two more men. He attacked a girl, decapitating her with one blow of a huge knife, and subsequently slashed off half the face of another man and disappeared into the jungle. The villagers were panic-stricken and afraid to venture out after dark. A large force of police combed the district unsuccessfully. Last night Venkanna suddenly entered the village and attacked a man, who tackled him. Venkanna leaped a wall and fell into a well where he was drowned.
