RALSTON'S BRILLIANT WIN. MELBOURNE, January 20. Riding brilliantly near the finish, A. N. Ralston (New Zealand) won the Mordialloo Cycling Grand Prix on Saturday, for which the prize is £B7 10s. Thirty-six of the best Australasian cyclists entered. The race was over 50 kilometres. Ralston opened with a hec-
tio dash, leading by 200 yards. Hewas overtaken several times, but put in an amazing finish during the last lap to win by more than 200 yards. Results: Ralston 46 points, Moore (Tasmania) 30, Moritz (S. Australia) 30. Time, lhr llmin 35sec. With Armoty (Victoria), Ralston also won the teams contest with 66 points. Ralston won five of the 22 sprints in the race and was placed in two others. Hill" (N.Z.) won two sprints and was placed in four others. Turtill (N.Z.) was placed in one sprint.
