Hen* Jaeger has resigned -the position of organiser of the Nazi Christian Church. He sent a letter to Dr. Muel<ler (Reiehsbishop)" as follows: "After fulfilling my task of organising the Evangelical Church I return my eccle-sio-political .functions to you. Internal reconstruction of the Church is essential, but is only possible with the country's active co-operation and in view of this I propose the formation of a council of bishops to assist you in it." ' The bishops met Dr. Mueller-and appointed an advisory council. , Orders against interfering may be given to all Government organs, leaving the Church to settle its. own affairs.
