BY-ELECTION AT SWINDON. (United Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 10.20 a.m.) LONDON,' October 26. The by-election necessitated by the appointment of Sir R. Mitchell Banks, E.G.,, to a judgeship, resulted: Rt. Hon. Dr C. Addison (Lab) 20,902 W. Wakefield (Conservative) . 18,523 Mr Wakefield is an international Rugby player. The polling at the general election in 1931 was: Sir R. Mitchell Banks (Con.) 22,756, Rt. Hon. C. Addison (Labour) 17,962.
